Utilization of the PDF search techniques given in the How To sections, such as selecting both “Highlight all” and “Match case” when searching a city directory or using the old-fashioned scroll bar to look through a section of pages yourself should help you in your search.
Unfortunately, due to the amount of pages and the fact that these PDFs of the original directories were scanned from physical prints, one-hundred percent accuracy is not guaranteed while searching. However, these errors are generally minimal in comparison to the searchable scale of each directory and should not deter you from continuing to use the search functions available.
